Paul Revere bought this house with his wife. Later, it was sold and turned into tenement housing with shops on the bottom floor. Though the house was scheduled for demolition, it was restored and transformed into the first house museum in America. Though it was renovated and remodeled many times, approximately 90% of the original house remains.
