The slogan on their sign reads: "Need no teef to eat my beef."

House Park Bar-B-Que has been serving mesquite-smoked meats here since 1943. It was named after the high school football stadium a block away. That high school is now the ACC campus, and plenty of college students still come here for lunch.

The place is packed with customers because of the food: Chopped-beef sandwiches, sliced brisket, smoked chicken and Elgin sausage, served with the usual sides of potato salad, white bread, pickles, and onions.

Note the limited hours that they are open. This is a weekday lunch-only place.
