This 3,000-seat theater is the largest in the complex known as the UT Performing Arts Center (PAC), a group of six state-of-the-art theaters on the UT campus.

Located on the UT campus just north of the football stadium, the Bass Concert Hall re-opened in January 2009 after a 2 year renovation process. In addition to better safety features, the renovation includes new carpets, new facade, and lots of new modern furniture to lounge around on. The walls are covered with community-created art, and sculptures throughout the interior are on loan (permanently) from the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

The largest and most impressive touring shows are featured here, such as Les Mis, Spamalot, Mamma Mia! and the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. Celebrities like Bill Crosby, Gordon Lightfoot and Jerry Seinfeld make their way through here, too.

Efforts were made during the renovation process to improve the sound quality as more and more programming has come to include amplified music over the years.
