At this 30-acre botanical garden next to Piedmont Park, one can wander through various different gardens and landscapes ranging from rose gardens to Japanese styled gardens. There are various gardens set up for children as well holding a garden dedicated to the preservation of several endangered species and other various tropical animals. The latter is actually collaboration between the Garden and Zoo Atlanta. Orchids from around the world can be seen at the Fuqua Orchid center. The Botanical Garden in Atlanta boasts one of the most extensive collections of plant life in the country. There are exhibitions for art based on plants, classes, tours, and children’s programs run at the Garden as well. The Atlanta Botanical Gardens is a very educational stop when visiting Atlanta.
